About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team in the area of biomechanics. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating advanced numerical models of biomechanical structures and validating them through experimental work.

Key responsibilities include writing and publishing research papers, contributing to research proposals, and liaising with medical partners. The role also involves working closely with team members with diverse research expertise and supervising current PhD students in the group.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should have a PhD in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or biomechanics. They should demonstrate excellent scientific writing skills and knowledge of using ABAQUS simulation software within the field of biomedical engineering.

Candidates should also have experience in undertaking experimental work in the field and possess good communication skills in presentation and scientific writing. The ability to conduct research work independently and as part of a team is essential.

What We Offer

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London, you will be part of a large and dynamic School of Engineering and Materials Science. We offer a competitive salary of approximately £42,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide 30 days' leave per annum, access to a pension scheme, and a season ticket loan scheme.
