About the Role

At Queen Mary University of London, we are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join our team in the School of Mathematical Sciences. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Omer Bobrowski and Dr. Primoz Skraba, and will be involved in a large project funded by the EPSRC, which aims to bridge the gap between topology and deep learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in stochastic topological tools and their applications to deep neural networks.
  • Collaborate with researchers from other universities in the project hub.
  • Attend workshops and conferences to stay updated on the latest developments in the field.

Requirements:

  • PhD degree in mathematics or a related area, or equivalent level of professional qualifications and experience.
  • Expertise in at least one of the areas: machine learning, applied topology, and/or probability theory.
