Locum Adult Psychiatry Specialist

Medecho Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Psychiatry Consultant to join our team on a locum basis. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnose mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex psychiatric conditions.
- Provide emergency psychiatric care for acute mental health crises.
- Collaborate with mental health professionals to provide integrated care.
- Manage both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric services.
- Lead and supervise junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide education and training to medical students and junior doctors.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement projects.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completion of foundation years (F1/F2).
- Specialist training in psychiatry and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in psychiatry.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK or equivalent licensing authority in other regions.
- Several years of experience in a consultant or senior registrar position, ideally within the NHS or equivalent healthcare system.
- Experience in a psychiatric subspecialty may be required or advantageous.
