Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to work in the field of Older Adult Psychiatry at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time position based at Royal Preston Hospital, where you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients on the Skylark Unit and contributing to the Memory Assessment Service (MAS).

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will assess and treat patients with complex mental health needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. You will also participate in the Consultant On-Call rota, which includes additional remuneration.

The successful candidate will have expertise in Older Adult Psychiatry, including knowledge of neurodegenerative disorders, dementia, and other age-related conditions. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to improving the mental health outcomes of older adults in our community. The estimated salary for this role is £95,000 - £125,000 per annum, depending on previous experience.
