Job Description

The Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in the Older Adult Psychiatry department. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs.

**Main Duties:**

  • Participate in the Skylark Unit on-call rota, contributing to the provision of comprehensive mental health services for older adults.
  • Lead the Memory Assessment Service (MAS), working closely with other consultants and healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based treatment programs.

**Requirements:**

  • Hold MBBS or equivalent qualification and be fully registered with the GMC.
  • Be on the GMC Specialist Register within 6 months of appointment.
  • Have Section 12 approval or achieve this within 3 months.
  • Achieve AC Status within 6 months of appointment.
