About the Role

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time position working in Older Adult Psychiatry, with a focus on providing high-quality care to patients on the Skylark Unit and contributing to the Memory Assessment Service (MAS).

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex mental health needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. You will also participate in the Consultant On-Call rota, which includes additional remuneration.

The successful candidate will have expertise in Older Adult Psychiatry, including knowledge of neurodegenerative disorders, dementia, and other age-related conditions. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team and contribute to improving the mental health outcomes of older adults in our community. The estimated salary for this role is £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on previous experience.
