Role Overview:

The Site Quality Engineer at BAM Nuttall will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery quality of the Transpennine Route Upgrade Project. This is a circa £2 billion multi-disciplinary project upgrading the existing railway route between Manchester and Leeds through the Pennines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and surveillance to ensure compliance with quality requirements and produce reports of findings.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify potential quality risks and implement preventive measures.
  • Provide expertise to document originators in the formation of Inspection and Test Plans and BIM 360 Field checklists.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance instances.
  • Support the development of quality-related training materials for alliance-wide dissemination.

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering or a related field, or a formal construction quality qualification.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance within construction or engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in relevant quality software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
