About the Role

CV-Library is currently seeking an experienced First Article Inspection (FAI) Engineer / Quality Engineer for a short-term assignment. As part of this project, you will be responsible for preparing and completing several mechanical and electrical First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Ensure the preparation and completion of FAIRs adhere to customer and AS9102 requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to ensure all necessary documentation is obtained for FAIR completion.
  • Work with customers to identify solutions for any issues arising during the FAIR preparation process.
  • Communicate effectively with quality, engineering, and design teams regarding FAI challenges.
  • Maintain an FAI tracker to monitor progress, outcomes, and issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in aerospace quality or manufacturing engineering within the last 5 years.
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9102 at the current revision and understanding of AS9100 principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings backed by a strong aerospace/defence background.
  • Effective verbal and written communication of FAI issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and custom databases.

Contract Details: This is a 1-month contract paying £33 per hour. Ideal candidates should possess excellent analytical skills, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
