EA First Compass House is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional who can ensure strong financial controls, maintain accurate reporting, and support long-term financial planning.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, with experience in overseeing day-to-day finance operations, preparing management accounts, and managing cash flow processes. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely with senior management are essential.

A competitive base salary of around £80,000 plus bonus and employee share scheme make this role extremely attractive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and quarterly investor reporting
  • Manage monthly cash flow processes, optimising the accuracy of forecast runway
  • Act as a key partner to R&D and project management teams and operational areas of the business
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of the UK statutory accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of the R&D tax credit claim
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the annual statutory audit
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
