About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team on a permanent basis. As a hands-on finance professional, you will be responsible for all aspects of finance, including financial reporting, accounts preparation, cash-flow forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliation.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably in a project-based environment. You will be required to develop reporting to support the MD and manage the sales and purchase ledgers, credit control.

The company is based in Cambridgeshire and offers a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of £60,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Develop and implement effective financial reporting processes
  • Accounts Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial accounts
  • Cash-flow Forecasting: Provide monthly cash-flow forecasts to support business decisions
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile the balance sheet to ensure accuracy
  • Month End: Coordinate month-end procedures to ensure timely completion
  • Sales Ledger / Purchase Ledger / Credit Control: Manage sales and purchase ledgers, credit control
  • WIP Reports: Generate work-in-progress reports to support business decisions
  • Fixed Assets: Manage fixed assets to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • VAT: Ensure compliance with VAT regulations
