About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Aviation Insurance Broker to join our team at Aon. As a key member of our Global Broking Centre, you will be responsible for coordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of business within the Lloyd's and Company Markets on a day-to-day basis in accordance with Marketing Strategy.

As an Aviation Insurance Broker, you will be responsible for client/network engagement, quoting terms, and completing tenders/RFPs. You will also present terms, bind coverage, and work on London market Broking, including submission drafting, face-to-face Lloyds Broking, and E-trading. Additionally, you will be responsible for general administration, including file maintenance and management, document/MRC/MRCe review and completion, ECM/critical document/KPI management, and the use of PPL and other London market/Aon proprietary systems.

Key responsibilities will include:
  1. Client/network engagement: Relationship development/management
  2. Quoting terms, and completing tenders/RFPs
  3. Presenting terms
  4. Binding coverage
  5. London market Broking: Submission drafting
  6. Face-to-face Lloyds Broking, and E-trading
  7. Quoting and placing business within the London market including facilities.
  8. General administration: File maintenance and management including marketing sheets
  9. Document/MRC/MRCe review and completion
  10. ECM/critical document/KPI management
  11. The use of PPL and other London market/Aon proprietary systems
  12. Processing/invoicing


As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests, or reputation of any Group Company.

About you

We are looking for an individual with an understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes. You should have some technical insurance knowledge, preferably within Aviation, although individuals with experience across other lines of business will be considered. You should also be able to use insurance industry IT systems to efficiently deliver client service, have good problem-solving skills, and a good level of numeracy. Additionally, you should have effective communication and presentation skills, a good understanding of compliance and FCA regulation, and the ability to work well as part of a team. You should also demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
