The successful candidate will have previous experience working within the commercial vehicle or motor trade sector, preferably as a Service Advisor or in a similar role. Alternatively, they may have a passion for trucks and possess knowledge of truck parts. A customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills is essential for this position.
The salary for this role is £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive salary package, including DAF Academy Service Advisor Training, 30 days paid holiday (rising to 33 with service), and a range of benefits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing service bookings on a day-to-day basis to ensure efficient workshop loading
- Completing service estimates accurately, clearly, and quickly
- Keeping customers up to date with costs, progress, and authorisations
- Preparing job cards and raising invoices
The working hours for this role are alternate weeks, Monday to Friday 6am - 3pm / 9:30am - 6:30pm, with one in four Saturdays from 8am - midday.
