Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Position Available

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in the Wymondham/Thetford area. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing, servicing, and maintaining a mixed fleet of HGVs. This role offers a competitive hourly rate, with generous overtime opportunities.

About the Job:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team and take advantage of our comprehensive training program. You will have the chance to work with a variety of HGV makes and models, including Scania, Volvo, DAF, Mercedes, and Ford trucks.


Responsibilities:
  • Repair, service, and maintain HGVs to a high standard.
  • Complete compliance paperwork accurately and work to company standards.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules for HGVs.

Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a mobile HGV mechanic, HGV technician, HGV fitter, or HGV engineer.
  • Experience in repairing Scania, Volvo, DAF, Mercedes, or Ford trucks.
  • Certification in heavy vehicle mechanics, automotive mechanics/engineering, or mechanical engineering would be beneficial.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £45,000 - £53,000 per annum, with overtime available. Additionally, they will receive commercial fitter/diesel engineer training and a Class 2/Class 1 (HGV1/HGV2) licence/C licence/C+E licence requirement.
