Mobile Equipment Technician

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Technician to join our team at RAF Lakenheath. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile equipment and vehicles, troubleshooting malfunctions, and determining necessary repairs.
Salary: This role comes with a competitive salary of £14.55 per hour, along with 25 days Annual Leave + UK Bank Holidays, Paid Sick Leave, Pension Scheme, and Free On-Site Parking.
About the Role: As a Mobile Equipment Technician, you will use diagnostic tools to identify issues and order parts for repairs. You will also complete documentation and provide training and assistance to others. Your hours of work will be 39 hours per week on a fixed schedule Mon-Fri 07.00-15.30.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform heavy mobile equipment mechanic work, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Conduct automotive mechanic work on various vehicles (e.g., forklifts, trucks, buses, ambulances).
- Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and order parts for repairs.
- Complete documentation and provide training and assistance to others.
- Follow safety practices and procedures.
About You: To be successful in this role, you will need an NVQ level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and repair or similar, as well as a valid Category B driver's license. Additionally, you will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK.
