About the Job

We are seeking a Precision Equipment Technician to join our team at Fluke. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and repairing a variety of electronic equipment to ensure adherence to defined specifications and quality standards.

About the Role

  • You will assess and sign calibration certificates for defined products as required by the Production Team Leader.
  • Responsible for adhering to defined processes in the assigned work area, including Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, Safe Systems of Work, or Engineering Drawings.
  • You will train fellow Operatives/Technicians on defined processes as requested by the relevant Production Team Leader.
  • Take part in complex diagnosis and rework of Fluke products down to the Component level and record and/or escalate fault(s) to Team Leaders/Manufacturing Engineering/Metrology/Quality Engineer(s) as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Suggest and implement process/product improvements using the FBS (Fortive Business System) toolset to improve operating KPIs such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
  • Participate in the creation, review, and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures for both current and new products.
  • Diagnose, root cause analyze & repair customer DOA (Defective on Arrival) returns and load into specified Fluke system(s) to improve customer experience.

About Your Team

You will be part of a team of 8 Manufacturing Equipment Technicians working on the repair and maintenance of manufactured Electrical and/or RF Calibration products.

The team is made up of people from diverse backgrounds and previous career fields, bringing their unique experiences to the processes of analysis, diagnosis, and repair.

Your Requirements

  • Previous work with precise electronic circuitry and components.
  • SMT Soldering.
  • Use of complex test/measurement equipment (Oscilloscopes, ARB's, DMM's etc.).

Personal Skills

  • Fine Motor Skills.
  • Quality inspection of fine details/colors.
  • Prioritization skills.
  • Soldering.
  • Inspection of soldering to defined IPC Standard (Training Provided where necessary).
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical components and circuitry.
  • PC Literacy including Microsoft Office.

Salary

$75,000 - $90,000 per annum.
