Service and Maintenance Role

As part of our team at Medstrom, we are seeking a skilled Service and Maintenance Technician to join our Norwich service centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to work with our extensive fleet of medical equipment, providing high-quality products and services to customers across Norfolk.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and set up clean, ready-to-use medical equipment to customers' sites within agreed delivery times
• Collect and return equipment after use to our service centre location
• Perform regular maintenance, disinfect, and function check equipment, and complete records in our computerised system
• Maintain available product stock and spare parts inventory
• Provide product demonstrations and basic training to staff
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment

Working Hours and On-Call Rota:

We work a standard 37.5 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, with alternating shifts between 8:30am - 4:30pm and 10am - 6pm. You will also be required to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, subject to an on-call payment and additional payment for hours worked.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• A mechanical or electrical background is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided
• Experience working within a healthcare setting is desirable
• Full, valid UK driving licence is required for operating long wheelbase vans
• Knowledge of Medstrom and/or other medical device manufacturers' products would be desirable

Personal Requirements:

• A proactive attitude and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and work under your own initiative
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules
• Basic PC skills, including email and MS Office
• DBS-checked or willingness to complete one
