Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electronics Repair Technician to join our team at Fluke. As a key member of our manufacturing equipment team, you will be responsible for testing and repairing a wide variety of Fluke equipment to ensure adherence to defined specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Test and repair Fluke equipment to ensure adherence to defined specifications and quality standards.
- Assess and sign calibration certificates for defined products as required by the Production Team Leader.
- Responsible for adherence to defined processes in the assigned work area, including Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, Safe Systems of Work, and Engineering Drawings.
- Train fellow Operatives/Technicians on defined processes as requested by the relevant Production Team Leader.
- Participate in the complex diagnosis and rework of Fluke products down to the Component level and record and/or escalate fault(s) to Team Leaders/Manufacturing Engineering/Metrology/Quality Engineer(s) as required.
- Suggest and/or implement process/product improvements using the FBS (Fortive Business System) toolset to improve operating KPIs such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
- Participate in the creation, review, and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures for both current and new products.
- Participate in the diagnosis, root cause analysis, and repair of customer DOA (Defective on Arrival) returns and load into the specified Fluke system(s) to improve the customer experience.
Your Team
You will be part of a team of 8 Manufacturing Equipment Technicians working on the repair and maintenance of manufactured Electrical and/or RF Calibration products.
The team is made up of people from diverse backgrounds and previous career fields, all bringing their unique experiences to the processes of analysis, diagnosis, and repair.
Requirements
- Previous work with precise electronic circuitry and components.
- SMT Soldering.
- Use of complex test/measurement equipment (Oscilloscopes, ARBs, DMMs, etc.).
- Fine Motor Skills.
- Quality inspection of fine details/colors.
- Prioritization skills.
- Soldering.
- Inspection of soldering to defined IPC Standard (Training Provided where necessary).
- In-depth knowledge of electrical components and circuitry.
- PC Literacy including Microsoft Office.
