Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working Service Support Specialist to join our team at Norfolk fire and rescue service. The successful candidate will support the maintenance and delivery of critical firefighting and life safety equipment, ensuring that response crews have the necessary safety-critical equipment available to facilitate emergency response and protect the public.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the maintenance and delivery of critical firefighting and life safety equipment
  2. Ensure that response crews have the necessary safety-critical equipment available
  3. Use specialist knowledge, experience, and understanding of NFRS, manufacturer, and legislative guidance to make autonomous decisions about equipment removal, replacement, or limitation

Requirements

  • Dedicated and hard-working individual
  • Specialist knowledge, experience, and understanding of NFRS, manufacturer, and legislative guidance
  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in high-pressure situations

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £24,294-£25,979 per annum (Scale E)
  • 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, plus some evenings and weekends on-call)
  • Based at Hethersett Fire Station
