School Setting for Students with SEMH Needs

We are seeking an experienced Primary SEN teacher to join our school's specialist provision in Nottingham. This is a full-time position suited for individuals passionate about supporting pupils who need extra help to reach their potential.

The school offers a unique educational experience for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and related conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Attachment Needs, and mild to moderate learning difficulties.

This role presents an opportunity to contribute significantly to the lives of vulnerable children and be part of a collaborative team.

About the Position
  • Class Sizes: Maximum 6 pupils per class, assisted by up to two teaching assistants.
  • Teaching Approach: Develop and deliver adaptive lessons based on the national curriculum, taking into account each pupil's individual requirements.
  • Collaborative Working: Work closely with colleagues to establish a supportive and structured classroom atmosphere.
  • Pupil Support: Engage with pupils beyond the classroom through extracurricular activities and school trips, fostering social and emotional growth.
