Job Title: Special Needs Learning Support Assistant Daily Supply

Located in the heart of Wilford, Nottingham, this is a temporary role that requires a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work with SEN children on a daily basis (Monday to Friday) at a local mainstream primary school. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who have special educational needs and a genuine interest in understanding the challenges faced by young people with mental health and trauma issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish trusting relationships with students using a restorative approach.
  • Support students in demonstrating the value of education.

Requirements:
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • A sincere passion for working with children who have special educational needs.
  • A genuine interest in understanding the challenges faced by young people with mental health and trauma issues.
  • A valid Clear Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • All necessary training and support will be provided by the school.

This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
