About the Role

This position involves working closely with a talented team to provide tailored support to students with autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, severe learning difficulties, and other special educational needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the class teacher with lesson planning, adapting materials to meet individual EHCP requirements, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Job Description

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in implementing and adapting EHCP plans for individual needs.
  • Collaborate with the therapeutic team to enhance students' learning experiences.
  • Create a warm, encouraging environment to build students' confidence and independence.
  • Support the teacher with classroom management and differentiated learning activities.

Salary Information

The estimated daily rate for this position is £80-£100 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN/SEND.
  • Some experience working with children, preferably in an educational or therapeutic setting.
  • Knowledge of supporting students with ASD, ADHD, or SLD is ideal but not essential.
  • A patient, compassionate approach, and strong communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children.
