SGS Care Ltd is a leading provider of residential care services for children. We are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Residential Childcare Worker.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in our residential settings. This will include implementing care plans, engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, and ensuring they have access to advocacy and children's rights services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with children and colleagues.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing care plans and ensuring the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychological, and social needs of children are met consistently to a high standard.
- Engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities and ensuring they have access to advocacy and children's rights services.
- Working closely with children to understand their wishes and feelings and implementing admission protocols to ensure they feel welcomed and informed.
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a minimum of NVQ Level 4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification. You will also need to have experience of working within childcare settings, particularly in child protection procedures. A UK driving licence is also essential.
