Permanent Children's Residential Youth Worker Position

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Residential Youth Worker to join our team in Northampton. This full-time position offers a salary of up to £23,788 per annum and provides a challenging and rewarding career path.

Responsibilities:

This role involves working with young people, providing care and support that promotes their physical, emotional, and social well-being. You will carry out care plans, undertake assessments, and make discharge arrangements in accordance with departmental policies. Additionally, you will provide individual and group services, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

You will work closely with Keyworkers to facilitate the implementation of care plans and maintain effective administration records. This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to work within a therapeutic framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement care plans that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of young people.
  2. Conduct regular assessments, admissions, and discharges in line with departmental policies.
  3. Deliver individual and group services to meet the specific needs of each young person.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including reports, reviews, and appointments.
  5. Supervise individuals on work placements and those undertaking work experience.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 Residential Child Care qualification or equivalent.
  • An understanding of the needs of looked-after children.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
