The Role - SEN Science Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Science Teacher to join our team at a specialist SEN School in Merton, South West London. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Science to students with SEN, ideally in an ASD-specific environment or with prior experience managing challenging behaviours.
The School - SEN Science Teacher
A 'Good' rated specialist SEN School catering to around 100 children across KS2, KS3, and KS4 who have ASD, SEMH, or speech, language, and communication needs. The school provides invaluable support to children requiring specialist assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 students with a primary diagnosis of ASD
- Managing challenging behaviours and providing individualised support
- Collaborating with the teaching team to develop and implement effective lesson plans
Requirements:
- Previous experience of teaching Science to SEN students
- Experience with ASD/LD is essential for this role
