About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safeguarding Children Nurse Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust Royal London Hospital.

As a Safeguarding Children Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, social workers, and external agencies to implement policies and procedures that safeguard children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safeguarding children advice and support to practitioners
  • Conduct safeguarding children supervision and training
  • Develop and implement relevant policies and procedures in relation to safeguarding children
  • Improve and facilitate robust communication pathways between hospital staff and professionals across the safeguarding partnership

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse/Registered Sick Children's Nurse//SCPHN (Health Visiting) or equivalent
  • Evidence of involvement in child protection practice
  • Experience of inter-agency/multiprofessional working
  • Experience of clinical audit and evaluation
  • Facilitating and supporting change in practice
