About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safeguarding Children Nurse Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust Royal London Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safeguarding children advice and support to practitioners
  • Conduct safeguarding children supervision and training
  • Develop and implement relevant policies and procedures in relation to safeguarding children
  • Work closely with the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children to undertake audits and support the development of safeguarding children practice

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse/Registered Sick Children's Nurse//SCPHN (Health Visiting) or equivalent
  • Evidence of involvement in child protection practice
  • Evidence of inter-agency/multiprofessional working
  • Experience of being involved in clinical audit and evaluation
  • Experience of facilitating and supporting change in practice
  • Experience of receiving safeguarding children supervision
  • Experience of providing safeguarding children supervision
