Safeguarding Children's Nurse Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safeguarding Children's Nurse Specialist to join our Think Family team at Barts Health NHS Trust.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will support the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children in meeting requirements set out in Working Together to Safeguard Children. This will involve incorporating key elements of the Children Acts 1989 and 2004 and the National Service Framework for Children, Young People and Maternity Services.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Think Family Lead Nurse, Named Nurse for Adult Safeguarding and Maternity Safeguarding lead. They will also manage a small team of children safeguarding advisors, promoting a non-hierarchical management style that encourages collaborative, respectful and compassionate working.
Key Requirements- Registered Nurse/Registered Sick Children's Nurse/SCPHN (Health Visiting) or equivalent
- Evidence of involvement in child protection practice
- Experience of inter-agency/multiprofessional working
- Experience of being involved in clinical audit and evaluation
- Evidence of facilitating and supporting change in practice
- Experience of receiving safeguarding children supervision
- Experience of providing safeguarding children supervision
