Senior Biomedical Systems Engineer

ECM Selection (Holdings) Limited is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Cambridge. This exciting opportunity involves designing and developing novel life sciences instrumentation, leveraging expertise in mechatronics, optics, and fluidics.
About the Role
As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for creating complex product designs using SolidWorks, with a focus on improving existing designs and preparing them for volume manufacture. You will also contribute to the development of opto-mechanical and fluidic systems, working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless integration.
Key Requirements
* Strong background in designing complex products, including experience with DFA/DFM techniques and plastic injection moulding
* Excellent knowledge of CAD software, particularly SolidWorks
* Ability to develop products through to manufacture and beyond, with a focus on quality and efficiency
* Familiarity with regulated industries and outsourced development partners is desirable
