Sagentia Innovation is seeking an exceptional Biophysicist to join our team in Cambridge, UK. The successful candidate will have a passion for science and technology and will use a combination of innovation, flexibility and technical excellence to meet and exceed our customers' often demanding requirements and tight development timescales.

Job Description:

You will work as part of a world-class team of scientists, engineers and technologists on a wide range of projects involving creative problem solving, feasibility assessment, proof-of-principle demonstration and technology scouting. Your duties will include designing and executing laboratory experiments, assessing technology feasibility, modelling and data analysis, innovation workshop participation and facilitation, presenting results and deliverables to clients, and supporting sales activities with technical content.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering or a related field with a strong Physics content (2.1 or above, PhD preferred).
  • Expertise in areas such as medical physiology, bio- and medical sensors, biomechanics, medical imaging, bioreactors, etc.
  • Proven scientific analytical skills, including mathematical modelling applied in biological, tissue and physiological contexts.
  • A proven track record of planning and undertaking laboratory work safely.
