**Job Summary**

We are looking for a creative and self-motivated Research Scientist to develop models and experiments for High-Reynolds-Number flows in multiphase systems. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics) and experience in mechanical design, building, and commissioning of flow loops, particularly handling multiphase flows and turbomachinery.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop first-principle models of multiphase flow and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with SLB's technical community to advance research and engineering goals.
  • Publish scientific papers, write patent applications, and attend conferences to share expertise and stay up-to-date with industry developments.

**Requirements**

  1. PhD in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, or related field.
  2. Experience in mechanical design, building, and commissioning of flow loops, especially with multiphase flows and turbomachinery.
  3. Expertise in first-principle modeling of multiphase flow and mechanical systems.
  4. Familiarity with data acquisition, signal processing, and data interpretation, including data science approaches.
  5. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, ROS, Labview, and Matlab.

**Salary**

£55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
