About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Research Scientist to join our multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of innovative models for multiphysics systems, including multiphase fluid dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and validate models for multiphase fluid flow, including gas, liquid, and solid flow physics
  • Collaborate with experimentalists and production domain experts to build and match models to experimental or field data
  • Engage with the SLB technical community and contribute to hypothesis testing and concept development
  • Develop novel solutions to research and engineering problems and articulate them to the technology team and management
  • Publish scientific papers, write patent applications, and attend conferences

Requirements:

  • PhD in Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Expertise in first-principle modelling approaches to Multiphase Flow Dynamics (Gas, Liquid, and Solid Flow physics)
  • Multi-physics CFD modelling of multiphase flows (Ansys, OpenFoam, COMSOL)
  • Building and validating reduced-order models from high-fidelity simulations is highly desirable
  • Experience in modelling of mechanical systems, fatigue analysis
  • Understanding of Production Systems is desirable
  • Relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals are desirable
