Biomedical Campus Guard

As a Security Guard at our institute on the Biomedical Campus, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our staff, students, and visitors. This is a temporary position, lasting for approximately three months, with the possibility of extension.
Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring CCTV systems, conducting site patrols, responding to alarms, and providing assistance to staff and visitors as needed. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, complete incident reports, and contribute to a positive and respectful working environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and possess a strong work ethic. A full induction program will be provided, covering all aspects of the role and our expectations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular security patrols of the main building
• Monitor site-wide CCTV system
• Respond to various alarms across the site
• Provide assistance to staff and visitors as needed
Requirements:
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and form judgements
• IT Literacy
• Flexible working hours, including night shifts
• GCSE grades A to C or equivalent
Salary: £24,500 - £26,500 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.
