We are seeking a skilled Transport De-Briefer to join our team in Northallerton, UK. As a full-time member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transport services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for de-briefing all returning vehicles to the depot, checking for any damages and safety issues, and communicating with drivers regarding daily runs and dealing with any issues. They will also be required to report any defects, manage VOR's, download vehicles and tachograph machines, liaise with our vehicle maintenance providers, update all transport systems, scan return and outgoing items, plan collections and deliveries, and contribute to the success of the site by ensuring that all POD and Return processes are carried out in accordance with site policy documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • De-brief all returning vehicles to the depot
  • Check for any damages and safety issues
  • Communicate with drivers regarding daily runs and deal with any issues
  • Report any defects
  • Manage VOR's
  • Download vehicles and tachograph machines
  • Liaise with our vehicle maintenance providers
  • Update all transport systems

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations, be able to build good relationships with people even when under pressure, challenge any vehicle issues or damages with our drivers, react quickly to information and be able to solve problems independently, and possess good communication skills both verbally and written.
