**Hours**: Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm

We have a new opportunity available to join the Operation Encompass and the Vulnerability Assessment Team (VAT) as a Coordinator where you will work in partnership with education providers to share information enabling schools to offer immediate support to children, secure better outcomes for children and enable schools to understand the impact that living with domestic abuse has upon children.

This role is integral to NYP’s safeguarding response and you will work within the framework of the National Decision-Making Model (NDM), Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance and the forces Control strategies to review and risk assess and make disclosures regarding Domestic Abuse incidents involving children.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Review relevant Public Protection Notifications to quality assure content and NICHE recording as per MOPI guidelines, ensuring accuracy and completeness in line with Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR. Determine the most appropriate action required relative to the control Strategy priorities and Operation Encompass Guidelines.
- Provide research support to VAT officers and Operational Officers involved in safeguarding.
- Work closely with School Liaison Officers to identify high priority areas, educational establishments, individuals or families and high-risk issues that are within the control strategies.
- Completion of daily performance reports with an awareness of the local and force wide tactical and strategic priorities and performance framework.
- Develop and compile reports in relation to domestic abuse incidents as part of Op Encompass Guidelines.
- Liaise with NYP colleagues and relevant partners to clarify purpose of requests for information/disclosures in line with the terms of reference. Ensure feedback is sought from the end user with a view to enhancing and developing future products and processes.
- Identify relevant information sources for research and analysis purposes.
- Provide analytical and research input in promoting child safeguarding and tackling Domestic Abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls alongside other strategic priorities.
- Support partner agencies with which information sharing agreements exist, providing information as required in an appropriate format.
- Assist in the preparation and production of monthly performance documents for the VAT team.
- Attend performance and tactical meetings in relation to Op Encompass and safeguarding.
- To be a point of contact for NYP Officers regarding Op Encompass matters.
- To be a point of contact for schools and local authorities across North Yorkshire and City of York regarding Operation Encompass notifications.

**Requirements**:
To be successful you will:

- Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including evidence of preparation of formal reports.
- Be able to work as part of a team as well as under own initiative/unsupervised.
- Have experience of working within a sensitive and confidential environment.
- Manage your time effectively to meet specific deadlines, whilst always maintaining accuracy and quality of data with the ability to meet organisational or legislative requirements.
- Be able to research, collate, review, and disseminate information from a range of sources.

Previous knowledge and experience in working within a multi-Agency setting, alongside knowledge and experience of Working Together to safeguard children 2018, The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and Operation Encompass and the forces priorities and control strategies, would be desirable.
