Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Academic SEN Tutor to join our team at Austin Fraser. As a key member of our education department, you will be responsible for providing academic support to students with special educational needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities
  • Set high expectations and create a safe and stimulating learning environment for students with SEN.
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by setting achievable goals and providing regular feedback.
  • Demonstrate expertise in subject knowledge and curriculum planning to engage students and meet their individual needs.
  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to respond to the strengths and needs of all students, including those with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate and productive use of assessment to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Fulfill wider professional responsibilities by contributing to the development of the education department and maintaining effective relationships with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in teaching or supporting students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
