About the Role:
Axis Family Resources Ltd. is a leading British Columbia-based social services organization that delivers community-based services while enhancing the lives of the diverse people we serve, our employees, and our partners.

We are currently seeking a Support Specialist to assist an adult male with developmental disabilities with their physical, economic, vocational, recreational, social, emotional, and daily living skills development.

This role requires 1 – 2 years experience in social services, preferably working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges. A certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or other related disciplines is also required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct support to individuals, promoting their independence and quality of life, and addressing behavioral issues using a trauma-informed lens. Experience with FASD, ADHD, Autism, and/or Down Syndrome is beneficial, as well as knowledge of complex trauma and neurobiological conditions.

Our team provides extensive training, including Complex Trauma practice, Level 1 First Aid (including CPR) certification, and CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training. Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
