About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing HR guidance and support to managers and staff members, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services and contributing to the achievement of organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR guidance and support to managers and staff members.
  • Support with new starter processes, including issuing offer letters, contracts of employment, and other documentation.
  • Liaise with the Head of Human Resources to ensure appropriate and relevant training modules are completed.
  • Support with the administration of vetting checks.
  • Produce monthly staffing reports, providing HR statistics and data to the Board of Governors.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate staff training and development initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures.
  • Monitor and review HR metrics, such as staff turnover and absence rates.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and industry regulations.


Requirements:
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in an HR generalist role.
  • Practical experience in a similar HR role.
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • CIPD Level 3 or above, or in progress.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ER/Case work and Educational background desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS Clearance.


Salary and Benefits:
