Job Description

Job Title: Academic Instructor – Inclusive Learning Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Academic Instructor to join our team as an Inclusive Learning Specialist. The successful candidate will provide tutorial and pastoral care for learners with learning disabilities/difficulties, monitor work experience activities, and take responsibility for student study programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tutorial and pastoral care for learners with learning disabilities/difficulties
  • Monitor work experience activities and take responsibility for student study programmes
  • Act as a Course Leader and take an active role in all aspects of student assessment and accreditation
  • Participate in curriculum planning and product development to deliver the College's strategic objectives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a culture of inclusivity and support

Requirements:

  • Qualified and experienced in working with learners with special educational needs
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team
  • Experience of managing students with challenging behaviour
  • Knowledge of the accreditation framework and assessment strategies in the post-16 sector
  • Understanding of the application of information technology and assistive technology to teaching and learning strategies
