About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Assistant in one of our M&S Iceking stores. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that every customer has a positive and memorable experience in our store.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a high level of store presentation.
- Utilize digital tools and communication channels to effectively manage customer interactions and sales processes.
- Share knowledge and experience with colleagues to support their development and growth.
- Take ownership of your learning and development, accessing digital learning solutions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with daily sales targets, priorities, promotions, and selling opportunities.
Key Capabilities
- Understand the business, its strategy, and the role you play in delivering exceptional customer service.
- Be committed to delivering excellent work, with a focus on attention to detail and a passion for delivering results.
- Be open to feedback and act on it, asking for feedback regularly to drive continuous improvement.
- Set performance objectives for yourself, in conjunction with your line manager, and work towards achieving them.
- Take accountability for planning and managing your work efficiently, ensuring that objectives are met.
- Be curious and ask questions to challenge the status quo, seeking to understand why things are done in a particular way.
Technical Skills/Experience
- Contribute to store sales and cost control, working across the store to achieve results.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of customer shopping channels, product knowledge, and services to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with commercial operations and brilliant basics, adapting to change and evolving business needs.

About the Application Process
You will initially complete a short online application form. If successful, you will move to the first stage, presenting a business case in a video interview. If successful after this stage, you will be invited to an in-person interview, which will be the final stage.
