Education Assistant

Brook Street UK is seeking an experienced Education Assistant to support students with special educational needs in our Shirley location. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with autism and be able to provide individualised support to meet their unique needs. Our teaching approach is focused on enabling access to learning for those with challenges in traditional education settings.
About the Role:- Location: Shirley
- Estimated Salary: £20,950 per annum
In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs. You will develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and progress. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of student progress and report to relevant stakeholders.
Responsibilities:- Providing individualised support to students with special educational needs
- Developing and implementing effective learning strategies
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress
- Care experience (minimum 6 months) in a related field
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
- DBS update service (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
