Role Overview

Academics is seeking a dedicated Support Professional to join their team at a specialist school in Blackbird Leys. The successful candidate will work closely with children who have a primary diagnosis of Autism, providing tailored support to aid their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a safe and secure environment for learning to take place
  • Provide specific interventions to aid in the children's learning
  • Encourage students to achieve their best academically and personally
  • Keep track of their academic achievements
  • Have a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding

Requirements

  • Being kind, caring and compassionate
  • Having a determination to make a difference in the lives of the students
  • Be patient and willing to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the students
  • Experience working with children and especially children with SEN will be advantageous but not essential
  • You will need an enhanced DBS check, but don't worry if you don't have one, we can facilitate your application
