Behaviour Support Assistant Role


Academics Ltd is currently seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team at a renowned Primary Specialist school in Oxford. The Behaviour Support Assistant will be working closely with children who have mental health difficulties, display challenging behaviour, and have learning disabilities such as Autism.


The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in any capacity and excellent behaviour management skills. Previous experience with restraint training is also desirable.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a Behaviour Support Assistant to learn different therapeutic and behaviour strategies to support vulnerable young people. The primary school is in the centre of Oxford and parking is available on site.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Support children with special needs in a Primary Specialist school
  • Work closely with children who have mental health difficulties and display challenging behaviour
  • Develop and implement behaviour strategies to support vulnerable young people

Requirements:



  • Experience working with children in any capacity
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Previous experience with restraint training desirable
