Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate midwife to join our team at Furness General Hospital. As a permanent member of our midwifery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and their families.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting routine antenatal checks, attending births, and providing postnatal care to new mothers. You will also contribute to the development of our midwifery services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- To conduct routine antenatal checks, assessing the physical and emotional well-being of expectant mothers.
- To attend births, providing expert support and care to women during labor and delivery.
- To provide postnatal care to new mothers, promoting bonding and supporting them through the transition to parenthood.
Requirements
- A registered midwife with current NMC registration.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar clinical role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and patients.
- A willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest research, policies, and guidelines.
