Emergency Mental Health Assessment Lead

About the Role
">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Mental Health Assessment Lead to join our team at Royal Albert Edward Hospital. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing 24-hour emergency mental health assessments for service users who have presented to A&E or have been admitted to medical wards.
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge. You will also have excellent oral and written communication skills in English, as well as the ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
The salary for this position is £105,504 - £139,882 per annum, with a permanent contract and full-time working pattern.
Responsibilities
">As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Providing emergency mental health assessments for service users;
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans;
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care;
- Managing and coordinating services to ensure effective delivery of care.
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A medical qualification (MB BS or equivalent);
- Approved clinician status;
- Approved under S12;
- Excellent knowledge of emergency mental health assessment principles and practices;
- Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
