About the Role:
">This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) School Link Team in Wigan. As a senior mental health practitioner, you will play a key role in providing early identification and mental health prevention and promotion within schools. You will work collaboratively with primary and secondary schools to offer advice and support through consultation around any emerging mental health concern.
]Main Responsibilities:
">You will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact to schools offering advice through face-to-face, video or telephone consultation. Additionally, you will provide advice and training around whole-school approaches to mental health. The team offers short-term intervention with children, young people, parents/carers, and/or professionals with the aim of supporting improved mental health.
]Key Requirements:
">To be successful in this role, you will need to have up-to-date professional registration/membership (e.g., RMN, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist). You must also have evidence of continuing professional development in the field of child and adolescent mental health. Experience of multi-disciplinary working within a mental health setting is essential, as well as experience and ability to triage and accept or signpost routine referrals.
