About the Role
The Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Education Mental Health Practitioner to join their Wigan CAMHS team. This Band 5 position involves supporting school staff in recognizing and responding to emerging mental health difficulties among children and young people. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering evidence-based mental health interventions, including low-intensity cognitive behavioral therapy.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits package including 27 days annual leave, excellent pension, and wellbeing programme.

Main Responsibilities
• Deliver whole-school mental health initiatives in collaboration with young people, school staff, senior leads, and parents.
• Provide 1:1 brief intervention for mild to moderate mental health problems, developing support plans for children and young people on a regular basis.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Successful completion of an IAPT 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' or children and young people's wellbeing practitioner course.
• Experience of delivering evidence-based mental health interventions, including low-intensity cognitive behavioral therapy.
