Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Railway Electrical Design Lead and Project Manager to join our team at Global Infrastructure Group. This role will involve delivering high-quality electrical design solutions for rail projects, working closely with our clients and internal stakeholders.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in designing electrical systems for railway infrastructure.
  • They will be responsible for leading project teams, developing detailed designs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop electrical systems for railway projects, including power distribution, signalling, and communication networks.
  2. Lead project teams, coordinating with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and requirements, and providing expert advice on electrical design solutions.
  4. Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulations, and quality control processes.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design for rail infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software, such as AutoCAD and PTC Primavera.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000-£70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, pension scheme, and generous holiday entitlement.
