About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Psychologist to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialist forensic psychology support for the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway (OPD).

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation to probation officers and approved premises staff
  • Develop formulations for high-risk offenders with coexisting severe personality disorder
  • Develop and deliver relevant training to improve the skills, confidence, and attitudes of the workforce
  • Complete time-limited joint working with clients and probation staff

The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology and experience working with Forensic Mental Health. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including service users, community mental health teams, and safeguarding services.
