Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT). As a key member of the management team, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise to deliver high-quality, psychologically informed care for patients with complex forensic mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist risk assessments using structured professional judgement tools (HCR-20) and deliver clinical interventions for the SCFT clinical caseload.
  • Support colleagues with a forensically minded psychological approach to care planning and risk management.
  • Contribute to the development of the service and provide supervision for the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in research activities and contribute to the growth of our research capacity.

Person Specification
  • Doctoral Clinical or Forensic Psychology or equivalent
  • Registered with HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Significant experience of working with people with long-term mental health problems
  • Relevant specialist CPD training in psychological therapy with long-term mental health problems
