Job Description


Major Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dedicated Children Registered Manager to lead our Family Assessment Centre in Derbyshire.

Responsibilities



  • Serve as the senior professional within the team, taking legal responsibility for the service and leading by example.
  • Ensure families receive high-quality support, meeting all their needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Lead in safeguarding efforts, protecting vulnerable individuals and conducting regular risk assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with social workers, health professionals, local authorities, and the Therapeutic Team to provide holistic support for families.
  • Maintain a compliant, safe, and homely environment at the Family Assessment Centre, overseeing day-to-day management and operations.
  • Support parents to reach their full potential in caring for their children, promoting a nurturing environment.
  • Safeguard children and parents through assessment, planning, and reviews, prioritizing their well-being.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Staff Team, contributing to their growth and development.
  • Act as a role model and mentor to staff, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the highest standards of care and ethical practice.


Requirements



  • A minimum of two years' experience working in social care, particularly with children and young people.
  • A strong understanding of legislative requirements and care standards.
  • A Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma (or equivalent) and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (health & social care) children & young people (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of two years' experience working in social care and experience leading and motivating a staff team.
  • Knowledge of legislation and Ofsted requirements, flexibility, and a willingness to go the extra mile.


What We Offer


In return, we offer a competitive salary of £48,000 - £60,000 per annum, providing opportunities for personal and professional growth in a dynamic and supportive environment.
